About the Shrines

Oji Shrine

Founded in 1322, this shrine brought the name “Oji” to the area. Revered by lords and shoguns throughout history, it is known for blessings in protection against misfortune and child-rearing success.

Maeno Kumano Shrine

Although its exact founding date is unknown, the shrine is believed to have been established in 1662 with deities enshrined from Kumano Nachi Taisha.

Aoyama Kumano Shrine

Moved to its current location in 1620, this shrine is known as the guardian shrine of Aoyama. It is also revered for blessings related to forestry and vegetation.
